Just thought folks might enjoy knowing that a pair of bald eagles have just hatched 18 miles from downtown Denver. The nest had been in a dead tree in the middle of Barr Lake that fell over last year and was rebuilt (by people) in a nearby sturdier tree. The eagles apparently liked it. Anyway, so far, the chicks haven't been spotted yet, but the parents can be seen bringing bits of food to the nest. Nancy Jane LaRoche att!drutx!nap
