Last year I put up 4 bluebird boxes. After pulling out sparrow nests a hundred times, I got 2 nesting pairs which raised 4 baby bluebirds a piece. This year we got no bluebirds at all, although I saw them try at one box a few times. Guess the sparrows won! Any ideas how to get the bluebirds back? Even the one box the sparrows aren't interested in (it's too far away from the house) hasn't had bluebirds in it. Could the sparrow droppings on the boxes be repelling them?
