A friend saw the following bird in a tree in the back of our company
parking lot last Thursday. We are in Westchester on the banks of the
Hudson River. It looked to be the size of a mocking bird. It had a
very distinctive red, hooked beak and was the color of a brown paper
bag with white stripes in the tail feathers (?) when it flew. Can
anyone identify it for me?
