My wife and I are planning a 7-10 birding holiday for next spring (late April/early May). We are trying to decide between Mexico and Venezuela. We have some previous experience from South American avifauna from a trip to Trinidad so are not too daunted by the prospect of the diversity of birds in Venezuela. Anyone have any thoughts, recommendations (positive or negative) concerning best places to go, best ones to avoid, good places to stay, guides, books and so on (we have Meyer de Schaunsee's _Birds of Venezuela_ and both the Peterson and Irby Davis guides to Mexico)? I'd be grateful to any good pointers and will gladly summarize any responses I get via e-mail for the group, if there's interest. Thanks in advance. *************************************************************************** David Graham dgraham@kean.ucs.mun.ca Department of French & Spanish {...}munucs!dgraham Memorial University of Newfoundland (709)737-7636/7 (Voice) St John's, NF (709)737-4000 (Fax) CANADA A1B 3X9 ***************************************************************************
