[rec.birds] Review: Steve Martin Videos

I mail ordered both Steve Martin Videos. The first, entitled "WORLD
OF BIRDS" is a recording of the act he does at the Cleveland Zoo.
The film concentrates on many aspects of birds, not just indoor. This
film is informative and brings birding to the masses. There may some
information tidbits that even you experts don't know about. The length
of the film is 35 min.

The second is about care and training of birds, and is about 90 minutes.
I thought it was a great resource on many different subjects and will
serve me in the future quite well. I recommend it to anyone. The
training sessions are a little misleading, they make training seem very
1-2-3ish when it isn't. But the concepts are good and clearly articulated.
There's something about a video being more effective than a book.
