[rec.birds] field guide for Middle East, request for reference

I've got "The Birds of Israel," by Uzi Paz 1987, The Stephen Greene Press,
Lexington Massachusetts. It's a good book, but not a field guide.
Can anyone recommend a guide to use when I'm in Israel?

"A Field Guide to the Birds of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East",
by Heinzel, Fitter, and Parslow. A reasonably good guide, about the style
of Robbins' Golden Guide for North America. I haven't used it in Israel,
though - don't know how good their Middle East information is.
As for ordering it : call the ABA at 1-800-634-1776, or your favorite
field guide specialist. The various catalogs I have don't mention a specific
Israel book.
