In Marin County, a singing male Indigo Bunting was found along the Mewok Trail in the Marin Headlands near Rodeo Lagoon on Saturday and it was still there yesterday. The easiest way to get there is to park along the north side of Bunker Road about a quarter mile east of Rodeo Lake. Take the trail across the wooden foot bridge over the creek and follow the trail to the right to the intersection with the Bobcat Trail. Continue on the Mewok Trail to the north about a half mile to reach the area where the Indigo Bunting was seen. Elsewhere in Marin County, a singing male Tennessee Warbler was found yesterday in the flowering hemlock across from the Nu$es Ranch at Pt. Reyes. This is near mile post 42.68 on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Also in Marin County, the male Harlequin Duck was still at Bolinas Lagoon south of Volunteer Canyon on Thursday. Two or three Purple Martins continue to be seen daily near the mouth of Bolinas Lagoon and 4- 5 Purple Martins were along the fire road above Wimbleton Lane in the Cannon Village of Fairfax last Wednesday. However, this is an area where Purple Martins have been seen regularly in past years. In San Francisco, a Tennessee Warbler was found Sunday at Lincoln Park along the trail between the 3rd and 4th fairway of the golf course below El Camino Del Mar. In Santa Clara County, a singing male Black-chinned Sparrow was in the saddle area at the summit of Mt. Hamilton between the fire lookout and the observatory on Friday.
