Well, if you live within a few dozen miles or so of Hueston Woods State Park in Ohio (i.e. if you live in Dayton or Cincinnati, pretty much), the shorebirds, heretofore absent, are now quite good there. There appears to be a hole in the dam at the base of this man-made lake, and this has exposed a nice icky mud flat all the way around the lake (vertical depth drop about three feet) -- about a ten to thirty foot span. In one day of low water and some desultory birding yesterday, Alice saw several Great Blues, a Semipalmated Plover, and a Spotted Sandpiper. What with the shorebird migration getting going, this may be a fortunate opportunity to get some pretty close looks at these birds. FYI.
