[rec.birds] re Late swifts in UK.

With regard to the late record of Swift (Apuas apus in the UK on August 27th)
there was one of the Scilly Isles in the third week of October 1989!

There were still plenty of Swifts in Suffolk on 29th Aug.  They were certainly
on the move though - over the fields rather than round town.

[BTW The juvenile Curlew Sandpipers are starting to arrive now.  A few at 
Minsmere and Alton Water yesterday.]
