I will have a few days free in the Hobart area at the end of the first week in October (from noon Wed Oct 3 to end of the day Friday Oct 5). Can anyone suggest a few interesting birding sites? I will have a car, and would like to see some coastline and wild country while I'm at it. A few hours walking would not be amiss, but I will not have much in the way of bush gear. Since this will be a first visit to Tasmania, virtually anything seen will be an addition to the list. Any suggestions for accommodation will also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
