My wife and I will be going to San Blas Mexico once again
this year for the annual Christmas Count there. Since
Sharon was... er... heavy with child last year, we stayed
home. So it has been two years since we've been there.
I was wondering if any of the readers of this group could
give us a rough idea of current prices in Mexico. I was told
today that $1 buys 3000 pesos, but I can't relate to current
prices. Could someone help me with the current prices on the
following birder's expenses?
dollars pesos
day rental car
passable room
shrimp dinner
economy dinner
Round trip train from Nogalas to Tepic (1000 miles) is
about $125 per person.
My wife and I love Mexico, not only because the birding
is supurb, but for us, after living on a student budget
for so terribly long, can afford to eat in resturants and
sleep in motels every night!
