Might I suggest that you have the bird sexed?  Many potential purchasers
of hyacinths are looking toward breeding.  It will cost you approximately
$35 plus the cost of the vet pulling a blood feather and shipping it to
a genetic sexing lab.  Or, if you don't mind the risk, you can have the
bird surgically sexed.  If you choose surgery, PLEASE be sure to go to
a real live avian vet who uses isoflorine gas for anesthesia and who has
years of surgical sexing experience.

It's much easier to sell such an endangered bird as this one to a breeder
who wants propagate the species.
