Since a number of people expressed interest in birding software, here is a summary of the ads I found by going through recent issues of birding magazines. Also, on the Osprey Nest BBS I found a very basic, but serviceable program called BIRDSTAR and a more complicated and slightly buggy program called ARS 1.2 (Avian Record System). In gathering this info, I was only looking for software for IBM PC- Compatibles, running DOS. The companies listed may have versions for other types of computers, and should be able to tell you whether or not their software will work on your IBM-Not-So-Compatible. If anybody sees an add for a product I did not list, please tell me about it.
