I'm considering getting a hand-raised pionus, preferably less than one year old, simply because I'd like it to bond with me. I live in Connecticut and have visited Bird Jungle, in Stamford. They have a 3 month old white cap. I'm trying to locate other types, such as the Maximillian and the Blue Head. Does any- one know of a reputable breeder in the NJ, NY, CT, MA area? I've spoken with Bill Arbon of the Pionus Breeders Society who has some domestic babies he has raised himself, but I'd like to see some varieties first before purchasing. Any replies are appreciated.
