I've been reading a lot of suggestions from people on this group regarding what should be done before you get a bird. I realized that one of the things I should do is get the magazine "Birdtalk". It has been mentioned a lot here but I don't remember seeing an address for it. If someone can post or email me the address where I can subscribe to it, I would really appreciate it. Also, is BirdTalk sold in stores? I have checked various bookstores that sells magazines and haven't seen it there. I will be moving to a new apartment in August and am planning on buying a hand raised baby cockatiel. In the meantime I have been looking at various pet stores that sell cockatiels. Some of the cockatiels I see have a "tag" around one of their ankles and some don't. Is it better to get a cockatiel that has been "tagged"? I need more info regarding who "tags" these birds and the significance of it. Lastly, if anyone knows of any bird clubs in or near the Cleveland, Ohio area I would appreciated hearing from you. Thanks in advance. Nancy Rabel .... ..
