[rec.birds] birds in mulberries

rising@zoo.toronto.edu (Jim Rising) (05/25/91)

I've done a lot of field work in the central plains where mulberries
are common, and it seems like everything eats them, but esp.
cuckoos, kingbirds, and orioles.  I never found nests in mulberries;
I postulated that so many birds were attracted to the trees that they
were a bad place to hide a nest.
