There is hope for your lost cockateil. Five years ago (right about this time too), a hungry cockateil flew up to our patio on the ninth floor of an apartment building and chirped to come in. Though I knew nothing about birds, I went out on the patio, stuck my hand beside her, and she hopped on. I came inside. We fed her (with seed from a friend down the hall) and found her a cage. We still have her. She is a wonderful creature, affectionate and personable. My husband and I love her very much. It has always amazed us that she was brave (or desperate) enough to fly to our patio that day. We're all the richer for it. Maybe Feliz will do the same. I hope you find your bird. By the way, we checked with all the lost pet numbers in town. Even though a few people came to look at her, nobody claimed her. Lucky for us! She is actually on her third life now. Last year, she was diagosed as being diabetic. Her diabetes is controlled now. She is one healthy bird, but that's another story! Good luck, Sue
