I am looking for information on ways to adapt my very
compatible PC clone to a 12 volt power source. I am a member
of my local Emergency Management Amateur Radio group and we
are looking at ways to run these toys in vehicles in
conjunction with packet radio.
The first issue is the basic power supply: what's on each pin?
Is any of it AC ?
If we can get away without having to supply a low level (or
any level AC) source then we can probably cook up something
for any DC voltage required.
We don't want to use one of those power inverters...they're
hogs on juice !
Anybody done this before ?
Any thoughts ?
