Lyndon you sure are getting abused.
So we have to go back to the good old days of thirty years ago it see.
Isn't it interesting how the window of "the good old days" keeps moving
forward. I first started reading ham mags when I was twelve (that was
1963 - close enough) and you know what??? They complained that hams were
old farts who bought appliances and didn't build any more ... let alone design
new modes. Silly Sideband was nicely established but a lot AM's were still
hoping to stamp it out. I have seen references to the replacement of spark
with CW which suggested that a lot of reactionaries were UPSET.
Wayne Greene (my favourite right winger bar none!) thinks the world has
gone to pot but in reality not much has changed since the first stone age
warrier refused to use a bronze axe head.
