I've recently acquired RAND's MH mailing system. As it is delivered, it will not coexist with berkeley mail. However, with a little trickery it interfaces quite well. If the recipient of the news doesn't want MH mail, he won't get it. The same is true of Berkeley mail. The other option is to get mail in the format it was sent (uucp mail is Berkeley mail to me.) This is controlled by the (non)existence of a .default_to_mh file in the user's home directory. (Oh, no-- another . file!!!) Anyway, since both mailers have their own rmail's, I ship mail to the other rmail if not meant for this system. This may work for other mailers -- and I hope that people who develop mailers in the future consider that there are or could be other mailers on the system, and users may like to use them.
