I recently downloaded a copy of KA9Q's Net utility. It is a version of TCP/IP designed to work with ham radio and apparently is being used in other places on the network. I am running SCO Xenix 386 2.2.3, as well as SCO Xenix 286 2.2.1. I would like to see if I can get this utility up and running in some way on one of my machines. (Preferably the 286). I hacked the makefile using a Xenix diff file from "conexch" in southern California (A good Xenix public access system). All of the routines compile using the makefile designed for Unix with the appropriate patches, however I get an error with a few unresolved externals in the final link. These include procedures from slfp.c, pc.c, and maybe a few other modules in the package. It appears that the makefile doesn't include these at all as they use non-unix structures etc? I am not really sure. At this point has anyone used this package with (1. Xenix, 2. Merit/Telenet, 3. an 80286 machine)? If anyone could give me any help, it would be appreciated. -- Here is a little background on why I'd like to get it working. 1. My ham ticket is probably in the mail this very minute (Passed the tech liscense in early April). 2. I currently get my newsfeed from sharkey (University of Michigan) via the merit network (X.25 protocol packet switched network that supports TELNET) I noticed that in the slfp.c file, the Merit network is mentioned specifically. Since I use it regularly, I'd like to find a better/more reliable way to get information if I could. Any help is appreciated.
