[rec.games.rogue] Epyx rogue for the MAC

kcr%rushforth@Sun.COM (Kevin Rushforth) (01/03/89)

I am considering purchasing Epyx rogue for an Apple Macintosh. Does
anyone know what version of rogue it is based on (e.g. Advanced rogue,
Ultra rogue, other)? Also, how good are the graphics and how good is
the user interface? I would like the opinions of anyone who has played
it. Thanks a lot.

Don't bother. It's a very poor implementation. Track down Dungeons of Doom
instead.

objective was to drain the swamp.

Or purchase the commercial version of DoD, called The Dungeon Revealed. It
has a few more features, and source code is available as well. I can post
the address of Woodrose Editions (the publisher) if necessary.

Disclaimer: I tested TDR, and know/worked with the distributor. I don't get
any $$$ for it, though.
