Does anyone have a GOOD front end for a mail system? I want to
be able to get the message I want keyed on the To field, the
>From field, the Subject field, etc. I would also like all of
the "standard" features like forwarding, editing the file
you are typing in, etc, etc. The UCB Mail program seems to
be the best I have found (although it dosn't search on fields),
but it dosn't like arpanet headers. So.... Can anyone please
help?

There is a new version of Berkeley Mail which is more adept at
dealing with headers, can do scanning, and steals the MH
folder syntax and most of the functionality, but still stores
multiple messages per file. This will certainly be out in
the 4.2 release.

The Rand MH mail system does all of those things. Contact
"nancy@rand-unix" for details on how to get it. It costs roughly $300 for
the licensing (non-redistribution) and tape-handling fee.
