Date: Thursday, 2 Dec 1982 13:51-PST Is anyone aware of a general-purpose graphics software package that will run under UNIX 4.1bsd on a VAX 11/750 or 11/780? We would prefer something device-independent and written in C if we can get it. We will mainly be generating geographical maps and plotting customized symbols upon them, but we will also need to produce standard and custom 2-D plots and charts. These graphics will be displayed on an as yet unprocured color graphics terminal and color line printer. Any info on software and particularly the existence out there of a complete system similar to this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Date: 7-Dec-82 15:03:44 PST (Tuesday) Larry, Disspla seems to meet most of your requirements and will certainly run on a VAX 11/750 or 11/780. It may or may not run under UNIX 4.1bsd. Contact Issco in San Diego if you want more information. Disspla is written in Fortran. Unfortunately, it's not cheap. Ron
