I am interested in homebrew (practical, not theoretical) digital component decoding/demodulation of RF carriers -- in other words, a digitally based receiver. This seems well within the reach of off-the-shelf micros for the frequencies used by long-wave carriers (commercial AM, WWVB, 160-190KHz "lowfers"). A fully digital receiver has potential for custom features, digital filtering schemes and small size and the "inner loop" software seems relatively straight-forward (no software FFT is needed as only one carrier frequency is of interest). Anyone out there with similar inclinations? /Alan Paeth Computer Graphics Lab University of Waterloo, Ontario.
