The Radio Amateur Telecommunications Society The Radio Amateur Telecommunications Society (RATS) and the New Jersey Institute of Technology Amateur Radio Club (NJIT ARC) are co-sponsoring the first RATS Open System Environment Symposium (ROSES-1). ROSES-1 is a packet forum for new users, PBBS sysops and network gurus focused on OSI or Open Systems. There will be tech talks and roundtable discussions on many areas of packet operation as well as: + LICENSE EXAMS provided by the Bergen Amateur Radio Association from 8AM until 11AM. + Equipment and demonstrations will be conducted and literature will be available. + TNC tune-up clinic so bring your radio and TNC. The date is November 11th from 8AM until 6PM in the Hazell Center on the NJIT campus in Newark, NJ. Admission and parking are free for all attending. Talk-in will be on 145.19 (-600).
