Because of the continuing heavy traffic on the subject of radar detectors and similar devices in the groups misc.legal, sci.electronics, and occasionally rec.ham-radio, I suggest the formation of a new group to handle this topic. I suggest the name "rec.speeding". John Nagle

Two comments: 1. This would also be applicable to rec.auto 2. There is already a discussion in rec.auto which relates to the possible creation of rec.driving, which would make rec.speeding unnecessary.
