Rather than design and debug my own, I'd like to find a source of kits or modules to convert between the 2m and 1296 MHz ham bands. The application is to build a repeater using an inexpensive 2m exciter and receiver with the channel frequencies being in the 1282 (tx) and 1262 (rx) area. I've got about 100 mw of 2m to upconvert; then I'll amplify it to the proper output power. The receiver is 2m also, and quite sensitive. This is FM, so a linear mode isn't necessary. The receiving converter and transmitting converter would be best separate so I can operate them simultaneously and shield them from each other. Any suggestions as to suppliers, or experience with particular models you've used? Recommendations on a duplexer would also be appreciated. - Brian
