Yesterday, a friend told me about a problem he was having with the new version of Microsoft Word (v.4.0) and the AT&T mouse plugged into his 6300. Whereas the mouse had worked perfectly with all earlier versions of Word, it was not working totally correctly with the new one, especially when the cursor was moved towards the menu at the bottom of the screen. He called up Microsoft and was told that the new Word required a new mouse driver. Such was included with Word for those with the MS mouse. Manufacturers of other mice had to supply the new drivers for their mice, my friend was told. I called up the AT&T hotline to ask them where the new driver for the AT&T mouse was. A rep said that there was a rumor that a beta test version of such was floating around. But he didn't know anything else. Does anyone out there know anything about this?
