I have a fairly early AT&T PC6300 (XT clone) with a Seagate ST-225 hard disk and a Data Technologies Corp (DTC) full-length controller card. Since the PC6300, as it comes from the factory, uses an internal BIOS for controlling the hard disk(s), the BIOS socket on the DTC card is empty. Further, the list of drives supported by the internal BIOS is rather small and dated. Does anybody have an address or phone number for DTC, or know of any way by which I could contact them? I would like to know if they have an fairly new controller BIOS that will work with some of the newer, larger drives that are becoming common these days. Since I frequent 'ham fests' and the like, and often come across some less-than-really-standard drives, the ideal solution would be a BIOS that lets you enter any number of heads, cylinders, etc.. Something like WD's "super BIOS", for example. Oh, yeah. If anyone has any documentation on the DTC card, or a pointer thereto, I would really appreciate a copy. There is almost no information in the AT&T documentation -- including the harware reference manual. I don't even know the model designation of my card. It's covered with various numbers, but none that look conclusively like a model number. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give me. -- | Keith Brummett AT&T Network Systems & Bell Laboratories | | wkb@cbnews.ATT.COM 6200 East Broad Street, Room 2B252 | | (614) 860-3187, Cornet 353 Columbus, OH 43213-1550 | `----------------------------------------------------------------'
