[rec.video] PC display adapters to NTSC converter.

Know any box that can convert MDA, Hercules, CGA, EGA, and/or
VGA output signal to NTSC and thus to any TV? Product and vendor info
would be very helpful.

	Thanks

Video Charley is a Daughter Board that attaches to the feature
connector of the EGA cards and provides NTSC encoding (and also
genlock, so you can feed input into it, superimpose/key the video
on top of it, or just send the PC video) it is limited to the
680x200 resolution mode, but this seems to look ok so far.

You canget it from Progressive Image Technology at (916) 985 7501.
The killer is that it costs $749.

I am not affiliated with Progressive Image Tech. Just a satisfied customer.

Well, it'll take a fairly expensive box for Hercules, MDA, EGA, VGA,
etc. But CGA is easy. Just use either of the composite video output
jacks on the card! IBM CGA was *designed* to output to a TV thru an RF
modulator. And a fair number of the CGA clone cards kept the jacks.

One of them iis for color, the other is mono. Note that adjustment of a
trimmer on the motherboard may be required to get color rather than BW.
