Does telebit have any special offers on right now for Usenet sites? Does anyone have a contact address/phone number for canadian sites? I have a very large volum PC BBS gateway running and it would be a great idea if I could get a telebit modem for the UUCP side. Thanx.

I just contacted Telebit Canada (479-6883, Joe McGuire was the salesman) and their offer for UUCP sites is $1180.00 plus Ptax and shipping. With the order, they require your UUCP map entry (or site-name, at least) and a cheque (i.e. prepaid). Cost for non-UUCP is $1800.00 Oh yes, this is for the Trailblazer+ (up to 18,000 bps), they also have the T1000 (up to 9600 bps), but he didn't really recommend it to me. -- Doug Eastick eastick@me.UTORONTO.BITNET UUCP: ...!utai!me!eastick eastick@me.toronto.edu

Also note that except for the special offer Telebit does not sell directly, they will give out names of dealers. -- Norman Soley - Data Communications Analyst - Ontario Ministry of the Environment UUCP: uunet!mnetor!ontmoh!ontenv!soley | Contents of this message are OR: soley@ontenv.UUCP | my ideas, not the Ministry's "Stay smart, go cool, be happy, it's the only way to get what you want"
