I am getting sick and tired of the following message on r.a.s.: "Does anyone know when Best of Both Worlds-Part 2 is going to be aired?" Well, I compiled the following schedule. Episodes 74-79 have been confirmed by Mike Brown. Episode 79 is unconfirmed,, but I am fairly sure it is going to be "The Reunion", because it has been stated that Jonathan Frakes is going to be directing the fifth episode, and that it will involve Klingons (see below). Anyways, to interpret the schedule . . . "Ep." - Episode Number "Uplink" - Weekend of Satellite uplink "Week of" - The Official Paramount Week of airing "Pro" - Production number "Title" - guess Ep. Uplink Week of Pro Title ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 74. 09/15-09/16 09/17-09/23 174 Best of Both Worlds (Repeat) 75. 09/22-09/23 09/24-09/30 175 Best of Both Worlds (Part 2) 76. 09/29-09/30 10/01-10/07 178 Family 77. 10/06-10/07 10/08-10/14 176 Brothers 78. 10/13-10/14 10/15-10/21 177 Suddenly Human 79. 10/20-10/21 10/22-10/28 ??? The Reunion The following is compilitation of information previously posted in rec.arts.startrek(.info). While I have stipped out most of the spoiler information, some still remains, so a control-L is in it's place . . . <This is a Control-L> BEST OF BOTH WORLDS PART TWO: Episode 75, Paramount #175 (filmed first), with Elizabeth Dennehy, George Murdock, Colm Meaney and Whoopi Goldberg. The second part of the Borg saga, dealing directly with the Earth and Starfleet's defense. Look for exciting space battles and great FX of the Borg trying to take over earth! Written by Michael Piller. Directed by Cliff Bole. Here's what Richard Arnold (generally) said about the season opener (without giving away details) at Timecon '90. At the end of the teaser, you're going to be freaked. At the end of the first act, you're going to be pulling out your typewriter. At the end of the second act, you're going to be pulling out your gun and loading it. At the end of the third act, you'll begin to understand where they're going with the episode, but you're still going to be mad. At the end of the fourth act, you're going to understand better where they're going with the episode, and you're going to be saying to yourself "do I go down to the studio and burn it to the ground or not?". At the end of the fifth act, you'll understand. Incidentally, the "Best of Both Worlds" title was chosen to confuse the audience. FAMILY: Episode 76, Paramount #178 (filming fourth). *Indirectly* a third part of the Borg episodes, taking place on Earth. Location shooting possible at Vasquez Rocks. Written by Ronald D. Moore. BROTHERS: Episode 77, Paramount #177 (filming third). Heavily featuring Data, this is rumored to be about him, Lore and Dr. Soong himself. Brent Spiner will be playing all three roles. At the Orlando TrekFest, Jonathan Frakes described how Brent played Dr. Soong as a cross between Jimmy Steward and Grocho Marx. Written by Rick Berman (the Exec Producer's first teleplay). SUDDENLY HUMAN: Episode 78, Paramount #176 (filming second). A story about child abuse. Written by Jeri Taylor. THE REUNION: This is the second episode which Jonathan Frakes directs. It's filled with more Klingons, and one of them happens to be K'mpec. This may see some resolution of Worf's problem back with "Sins of the Father" Incidentally, Worf's other girlfriend, K'Ehleyr, will be returning "much to his chagrin" with a little surprise for him.
