[rec.arts.comics] The Rocketeer

Peter_A_David@cup.portal.com (12/14/90)

I have no doubt that, if Bette Page showed up and tried to take Disney
to court, she'd lose. But in the meantime she'd be a nuisance, she'd
embarrass them, and she'd get the film some negative PR, as well as cast
Disney in the ever-popular public eye as the big tough corporation out
to steamroll over the little person. I doubt they'd want to leave themselves
open to any risk whatsoever.

As promised earlier, here's what I've garnered of the cast list:

CLIFF SECORD: Bill Campbell

JENNY (formerly Betty): Jennifer Connolly (best known from "Labyrinth,"
although I understand she was in some controversial film recently)

PEEVY: Alan Arkin

NEVILLE SINCLAIR: Timothy Dalton (Sinclair is a very polished bad guy,
not from the comic but original to the film)

EDDIE VALENTINE: Paul Sorvino (a gangster, original to film)

GOOSE: Don Pugsley (whom you all remember from the Addams Family. Okay,
just kidding. I dunno him.)

SKEETS: William Sanderson ("Hi, I'm Larry...")

MALCOLM: Eddie Jones

BIGELOW: Jon Politio

If anyone can flesh out who Campbell, Pugsley, Jones and Politio are,
feel free.
