[net.unix-wizards] Comparison between IBM 4300 and VAX ??

	Does anyone have any numbers or comparisons between the
IBM 4300 CPU's and a large VAX, say a VAX-11/780 ?  Any gut feelings ?

It depends on what your criteria are.  The VAX has (at least in my opinion)
a better architecture and more sensible instruction set; I suspect it's also
easier to implement high-level languages on it.  I have no idea what their
relative strengths are in term of sheer processing power, but suspect the
4300's have an edge.
