Our cable company broadcasts MTV in monaural mode. I understand that there is an encoded FM simulcast, and that it's fairly simple to build a decoder box. Anyone know what's required to make one of these? (Please, no flames about the quality of MTV! :) --- These are my opinions, which you can probably ignore if you want to. In order to get an FM simulcast of MTV, all you should need is a power splitter for your cable. Run one of them to your FM receiver input and the other into your cable box (or VCR or whatever it goes into). A few lucky people are on systems that use MTS for the MTV audio. Ours only uses that for the pay channels, unfortunately. Don't expect great sound out of the FM band unless your cable company really promotes it. Mine has a ton of hiss on it.
