Howdy folks, I'm interested in purchasing a 4 track cassette recorder to use in a studio that we're building in our basement. I'm planning to use it to record both acoustic and electric stuff with several (disjoint) sets of friends. Already have 12 channel Peavey mixer, so extensive built-in (redundant) mixing capability is not desired. I'll be recording in groups of two or three people using acoustic and electric guitars, synths, banjo, violin, drums, bass, and vocals. Also will be using Amiga 500 Synthia and Deluxe Music Construction. Does anyone have any recommendations of which recorders to buy, or which not to buy ? Or, does anyone want to sell one ?
