We are running SunOS 4.0 and using essentially /usr/lib/sendmail.subsidiary.cf on all machines except the mail gateway. We NFS mount /var/spool/mail. Everything works fine. Each machine can send and receive mail. Users can read mail on any machine that mounts the same /var/spool/mail. Some 3.X machines here are using the NFS mounted mail directories. The sendmail is just a rsh shell script on those clients. The one problem we had with that scheme is that USENET articles posted from those machines would generate return addresses to clients that could not receive mail. We have to intercept those addresses at the mail gateway and redirect mail to the NFS mail machine. Bruce G. Barnett <barnett@ge-crd.ARPA> <barnett@steinmetz.ge.com> uunet!steinmetz!barnett
