I have a Sun 3/50 running SunOS 4.0 and I've attached an Epson FX-80 printer to it via a serial-to-parallel converter. I added an entry in the printcap file, which basically just points it to the appropriate device and does the banner stuff. It basically works, except that data at the end of the file that's being printed is usually lost. Cycling the power on the printer usually results in a few more words to be printed. This happens when using 'lpr' or bye sending the file via 'cat'. I have the baud rate currently set to 9600. I tried lower bauds (down to 300) but that didn't help, in fact it usually made it worse! Any ideas? Has anyone else attached an Epson printer to the Sun? Thanks, Ray Roux
