Hey !! [[ Hey What?!? --wnl ]] Currently we evaluate the portability of large software products. This software products uses the shared memory facilities of unix in an extensive fashion. We are interested in existing restrictions for the maximum of available shared memory segments and the overall shared memory space for different machines [e.g. Sun, Apollo, HP, ..]. We are also interested in experiences, porting software [using shared memory] from one machine to another. Does a shared memory concept exist, not limited by hardware restrictions, portable to 'all' unix based systems? Please reply by mail Martin Mail address : unido!cadlab!martin
