Enclosed is a shar file containing a program called Palette. This tool should save a great deal of time and frustration for anyone who has to build color schemes for a SunView program or raster image. Here are the first two paragraphs from the man page. Palette is a colormap editing tool. It can modify the colormaps being used by other windows, or create new color- maps. Colormaps may be saved as C code for inclusion in a program, or in raster file format. As a programming tool, Palette can be used to modify an application's colormap arrays, thus eliminating the need to make incremental changes to the code, with time-consuming recompilations between each modification. As a graphics tool, palette can be used in conjunction with bitmap editors such as touchup(l) which have little or no colormap modifi- cation abilities. void *Wayne_Mesard(); MESARD@BBN.COM BBN, Cambridge, MA [[ This has been placed in the archives as two shar files (the original shar file was too large). They are stored under "sun-source" as "palette.shar.01" (41801 bytes) and "palette.shar.02" (33867 bytes). They can be retrieved via anonymous FTP from the host "titan.rice.edu" or via the archive server.
