Problem: cron doesn't give the name of program executed when
mailing error messages.
I've got an entry in /var/spool/cron/crontabs/root that looks
like:
30 11 * * * /usr/local/etc/testerror
/usr/local/etc/testerror just echos "this is an error message"
When cron mail's the output to me, I get:
Your "cron" job
produced the following output:
this is an error message
when I should have gotten a message that looks like:
Your "cron" job
/usr/local/etc/testerror
produced the following output:
this is an error message
(at least this is the way our 386i mails output).
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was the fix?
