After reading about gammontool, it is only fair that I point out that chesstool will perform "en passant" but does not allow the user to do so. This of course is only a minor bug. So far I have been able to beat chesstool in 23 moves in 15 seconds (computer time was about 3 minutes). Is there a way to increase the difficulty of chesstool?

I have enclosed a set of diffs to gnuchess v.4-25-88 to make it really work under chesstool. I installed this without telling the chess-playing users, and they complained it was MUCH harder. That was using a 15 second maximum response, a feature much appreciated. Usage: put "chess" chesstool /usr/local/bin/gnuchessr 15 in the root menu.
