A few questions concerning a silo overflow: What IS a silo overflow? What causes one? What fixes one? I am running SunOS 3.5 on a Sun 3/260. Thanks in advance. Jim Reid {ames, harvard, rutgers}!rochester!kodak!fedsys!wally!jwr [[ Check out Sun-Spots volume 6 issues 93, 97, and 100. Basically, a silo is like a queue of pending characters. An overflow will occur on input (for example) when the computer hardware cannot process the characters as fast as they are coming in. The "silo" (or queue) fills up and then overflows. --wnl ]]
