I'm the proud new owner of a 386i/150. I'd like to add an AT style floppy controller and 5.25" high density drive on the AT bus for use as drive B: in a DOS window. It is not necessary to access the drive from SunOS (thus, no Unix drivers need be written). The manuals mention adding additional SCSI drives, and DOS boards, but never mention adding a "drive B:". There is some talk about not being able to add boards which generate non-maskable interupts. Does a floppy controller qualify? I have an old PC 'shoebox' with power supply for the disk drive. Is this going to be as easy as installing the controller, connecting the cables, then editing boards.pc and setup.pc? Probably not. Is it at least possible? Has anyone ever tried it?
