> "I'm the proud new owner of a 386i/150. I'd like to add an AT style > floppy controller and 5.25" high density drive on the AT bus for > use as drive B: in a DOS window." If you're running 4.0.1 you already have all the softwarwe support for an additional 5-1/4" drive. The Sun documentation for 4.0.1 simply says "consult your sales representative for information on 5.25-inch diskette drives that can be connected directly to a Sun386i workstation." You may be able to figure this out by trial and error or by examining the guts of your machine. To enable the drive simply go in to your ~/pc/setup.pc file and delete the comment on the line: #B /etc/dos/defaults/diskette_b then do a dos -s to reinitialize things. I'm just relaying information here - I haven't tried this. - Glenn Roberts, The MITRE Corp., McLean VA (703) 883-6820 gfr@cobra.mitre.org
