Greetings. I've got a Sun-4/260 with a problem. It seems to have some bad video RAM. This SHOULDN'T be a problem for me, since we use this machine with a dumb terminal for a front end, and have no interest in whether the video RAM works or not. Alas, the machine refuses to boot while its video RAM is sick, so here I am. What I need are answers to the following: Is there any way that I can completely disable the vid RAM so that the machine will boot anyway? Or, failing that, Has anyone got any idea where the video RAM is physically located on CPU board? My boss is tired of paying out the yazoo to fix almost-new sun equipment all the time (this one's only six months old), so we wanna fix this one ourselves if we can. If anyone could sketch me a map, I'd be grateful. We would be most appreciative of any help! Thanks. Mark Costlow System Bozo at large EDS R&D ...texsun!xochtil!cheeks
