[net.unix-wizards] CTS on DZ's and DMF's

From: jazzy at AEROSPACE (Richard Fitzgerald)

Just to make a point clear, both dec dz's and dmf's will support cts and
dtr via a jumper on the distribution panel. If this jumper is cut, the
device connected to it will recognize and respond the both signals, in
other words, hardware handshaking. This is also true for most foreign
boards such as able's vmz-32 and the dh/dm boards. Although it is
somewhat troublesome to have to cut jumpers on distribution panels for
each port, but it does work. Try checking the specs in the dec
peripherals handbook. I forget actually which jumper, as the specs I
have are at work. If anyone wishes this information and can not find
it I will be happy to reply if you drop me a line.
