Not only is ^T a good nervous habit, but it also makes novice users feel more secure. One of the most frustrating things to a novice is to run, say, "cat", and sit and wait forever. They correct their own error (and usually learn what the error was) if they see $ cat ^T 1942 (53,33) TTYI TTY driver purists can, of course, stick to their @ and # signs. Cheers, -Mike
