[comp.sys.sun] MEGATAPE 8mm tape unit?

Has anyone succeeded in using the 8mm tape unit from Megatape?  It has a
pertec interface driven by a Xylogics controller.  We have been trying for
a while without much success.  Their technical support claims to have
other sites working but have not been able to get a response from them as
to how they are configured.
